One for the entertainment center and one for the home office. This device allows outlets to work together. Turn on/off your computer or TV and your peripherals turn on/off automatically. One study demonstrated payback in as little as 6 weeks with an average of 3 months.

CFL light bulbs

This 14-watt light bulb is the equivalent of a 60-watt incandescent bulb. It uses 2/3 less energy and last 10 times longer. Not all CFL light bulbs are the same, but the quality bulbs we install last 7 years. (based on 4 hours/day usage) The average saving is $30 or more in energy cost over the lifetime of each bulb.

Programmable Thermostat

When used properly, it can save up to 33 percent on annual heating and cooling costs. Because it uses less energy, it helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with energy production.

Attic Fans

Installation of an electric or solar attic fan can save up to 30 percent of money spent on air-conditioning cost alone. Either type of attic fan will make your home more comfortable. The beauty of the solar attic fan is the greatest heat of the day creates the energy that will run the fan that removes the heat from your attic. Homes with over 2000 sq ft may require an additional fan.

Ceiling Fan Installation with 4 CFL fan light bulbs

Experts say a ceiling fan can save up to 40 percent on your summer cooling cost and up to 10 percent on your heating cost during the winter. In the summer, ceiling fans cool the room by creating a “wind chill effect”. For example: if you had a room at 85 degrees, the fan would make the room feel like 78 degrees. In the winter, change the blade direction to help recirculate hot air near the ceiling.

Outlet Sealers/Weather proof Gaskets

Having hidden holes, gaps, and cracks in your home is the single biggest cause of heating and cooling loss. Your unprotected electrical outlets can be a contributor. Gaskets should be put on all exterior-walled interior outlets.

Dimmers and dimmable CFL Light bulbs

Using dimmers saves electricity and increases the life of your light bulb.
Dimming your light by 10% will save 10% electricity.
Dimming your light by 25% will save 20% electricity.
Dimming your light by 50% will save 40% electricity.
Dimming your light by 75% will save 60% electricity.
